CONVERSION OF EXISTING CONVENTIONAL SODIUM VAPOUR STREET LIGHT WITH ENERGY EFFICIENT LED STREET LIGHTS
AWHO Tucker Enclave Ph-II has a total 68 nos. of Street Lights 9/7 mtr pole with 150W high pressure Sodium Vapour light and 34 nos. of Garden Light 3 meter pole with 70W Sodium Vapour Light. It is not feasible to light the entire high energy street lights owing to the exorbitant running costs. To operate all existing 102 lights would invariably entail increase in expenditure of society fund besides consuming huge amounts of avoidable power.
2          On market survey it is found that energy efficient 48W LED street light are available in the market which will not only reduce the power consumption by more than 3 times but also enable operating all light points in existing structure of the society charges. Moreover, conversion to LED is in accordance with the vision of Honorable PM for reducing the overall carbon footprint which is necessary for the development of our country.
3          In view of the above, you are requested to take suitable actions to convert the existing conventional street lights with energy efficient LED street lights in AWHO Ph-II being an ongoing Project. Otherwise, suitable assistance be provided to this society to undertake the project, if the same is not feasible at your end at this stage.
4          For your favorable and expeditious action please.
